"A" banda de southern rock. Em 1977, num acidente de avião, perdem, entre outros, o carismático vocalista Ronnie Van Zant. Regressaram 10 anos depois, com o irmão Johnny Van Zant e continuam em grande hoje. Novo álbum para 2009?

Conhecidos principalmente por duas canções: "Sweet Home Alabama", escrita em resposta directa às críticas que Neil Young teceu ao sul dos EUA em "Alabama" e "Southern Man"; e este "Free Bird". Excelente é tudo o que se me oferece dizer. Debaixo de uma simplicidade desarmante...muita coisa é dita.
